I know it's a longshot but I thought I would search for some pistons that would give me a bump in my 2.4T rebuild.
At Henry S's recomendation I am looking specifically for 2.2E pistons in very good condition, minmal scuffing. I expect I will have to have the ring grooves resized regardless. I am guessing 2.2T pistons might still be an improvement if they are nice enough (and cheap enough) to warrant settling for a little less of a CR improvement. Mahle is what I have now. Nice used aftermarket are considered also if the CR isn't too high or the forging design allows the domes to be cut down. I would prefer a complete set to avoid balancing issues (if the manufactured tolerances actually could make this an issue). Please contact me offline at triplesn8s@neo.rr.com. Thanks for indulging my fantasy. Bill

Bill--post in the parts wanted/for sale forum. You might get better response. Keep an eye on eBay too.
