What else while my 3.2 is out?

I am sending my 88 Coupe (63k miles) in for a top-end rebuild. Typical valve guide wear on the 3.2s. My list of work includes:

-Freshen heads (valve guides, machine surfaces, grind valves/seats)
-New fuel lines (scary dry and cracked!)
-New clutch (original still in car)

The car is in great shape, but has seen more garage time than miles over it's life. I was interested in receiving any advice you all might have for "while I'm in there" items that I should think about taking care of while the motor is dropped.

Thanks guys...

Clutch fork update and swap in 964, 20/21, or Supercup cams while the opportunity is there.

Take the 3-way fuel hose to a hose specialist and have it redone in braided stainless hose. This will also allow the lines to be replaced individually and the cost to do this is SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper then a new hose from Porsche.

Good luck!

consider replacing or removing the sound pad
careful inspection of the brake vacume assist line seems to crack often
consider rings, you are there anyway
check the boots on the CVs easy to do with the motor out
general cleaning for better cooling

If the trans needs any work now is a good time to do that as well.

964 cam grind on your 3.2 cams, if the original cams are worn.
Simple. easy upgrade.
