spray oils

Hello, I am just in the process of parts washing for my rebuild. The parts may be sitting for a few weeks before assembly? Is there any oil spray that anybody can recommend for protection from rust? It's hard to tell the make up of some of the products on the shelf and how they might affect break in.

Thanks, Joe

I used wd40, but it was all cleaned off before the assembly,

Damn cold place you live in, I grew up in Burlington, went to M.M. Robinson, and lived in Tyandaga (SP?) I don't envy you the weather right now....rather be in CA.

I would suggest bringing theparts inside if you can, generally there is less humidity inside...

Cheers.

Jim, thanks for your reponse. Does Canterbury Dr. sound familiar? I'm also in Tyandaga backing on to the golf course. We've actually had a melt down the last few days and the temperature has been around 50.
I'm doing the parts washing in the garage but have an assembly room set up in the basement. I do envy your location though. I travel occasionally to Sonoma and the bay area. I work for Agilent Technologies which was previously known as HP.
