small oil leak
I've got a small oil leak on my track car, it looks to be comming from the oil line hilighted witht he red arrows in this parts diagram:
![]() I'm wondering if anyone has replaced this with an AN fitting and braided hose? And if so what size will fit the stock threads on the case? Thanks,

I don't recall ever seeing that hose. Is it instead of the one labeled 18 in the picture. The only hose on that side that I know about is the one labeled 18. It's a metric fitting, You'd have to use some sort of adapter to change it to AN. Sorry I don't know what size.

Porsche uses metric fittings, AN is an english fitting.
Go to a hose specialist. a -10 or -12 hose is most likely close. see if they can fit it to your fittings. Last edited by snowman; 01-04-2005 at 08:46 PM.. |

Yeah I realize that Porsche parts are metric, and AN fittings are not, but it is certainly do-able since many dedicated track cars I've seen have a multitude of AN type lines and fittings..

The track cars using AN fittings have been refitted with AN hardware or use a combination.

There are adapters for sale to convert the Porsche fitting to AN.
