98mm J&Es and S cams

Hi all,

Can anyone tell me or confirm that the J&E 98mm 9.5:1 CR pistons have deep enough pockets to clear S cams?

Thanks in advance

Thanks.

I will call him later today. If its yes as you say then its probably easier for me to sell my max moritz set up and buy the J&Es.

Cheers

Yeap, I am told the 98mm J&Es will work with S cams.
Looks like I may be selling the 98 MMs I have.

good luck. I lowered mine to less than the cost of a set of J&Es and nobody would buy them. You may want to check into having them machined for clearance with the cams.

Well, if you buy J&Es, the pistonsa are new and you get piston rings too. They worth of about $250.

How much new J&Es are ??

Send a message via AIM to cnavarro
You can figure something around $150 per hole with the JEs, although this price is highly dependant on the rings used, since i've seen fluctuations in ring prices such that you are up towards $180 a hole.
