You probably need to provide more info- what mix of street/ track performance are you going for, and what's your idea of "street"? If it were a pure track car on ITBs it wouldn't be a hard question- you'd use a pretty wild cam. For a street car without ITBs the solid lifter cup cam makes a very nice combo, especially with VRam (you'd have a 993 supercup motor at that point).

If those are your extremes where in the middle do you fall? I suspect you haven't gotten many answers because it's not a middle ground many people walk. I'm thinking you might be looking at a GE-60 or similar? Of course a few people could point you in the right direction with a bit more info. You're sticking with pump gas I take it...

It depends...

I would go with DC80s or 100s.

Where will do the majority of the driving?

What kind of gearing (generally)?

How do you want to drive the car? Run it hard to the red a lot, or are you going to want to just putt around sometimes?

Even with '80s, and decent gearing, your 3.8 should pull respectably on the street and be an animal on track. '100s just a bit more so.

This should help you figure which way you lean.

Yeah most driving on the street so I want lots of torque but i like a bit of zip up top as well.

I building a hot rod for street use but I want it to be compeditive (in the context of club track days, not hard core comp) on the track also.

I have a stock re-built 81 915 with a wevo retaining plate, the gbox is in good condition.

I was thinking a 80 grind or like would make it a bit of a mongrel
