Thanks Chis....found 3 marked as the diagram(group 5), 2 with "punch" marks(1 with 5,1 with 4?), and 1 no marks?

I need to replace #2 so I'll start looking for a group 5

thanks again for your help
KM

If it helps Ken, I have my 3.3 930 apart at the moment and all of my cylinders have a 6 in a triangle stamped at the base of the cylinder on the top side.

The file upload doesn't seem to be working or else I'd post a photo.

Steve, This thing has been rebuilt before, could be more than once and I have no history on the car! ( it's a 1976 with a '78 transplant that was supposed to have a fresh rebuild, found things that don't support a quality rebuild or even a recent rebuild,so I started looking further and don't like what I'm finding so I'm going the through it. It appears that #2 was scored prior to a rebuild and re-ringed and put back together?) The triangle marks with a 5 is on one bank the other 3 cylinders(1,2,3) do not have the triangle but I found 5 punch marks in that location? So the best I can figure, I need to locate a group 5 to replace #2 that has a scored wall. The piston is also scored but not as deep as the cylinder, I'm hoping I can polish out the marks on the piston skirt ? I'll be asking the list for opinions if this can be done, along with many other questions?
Thanks for your help,I appreciate it...

Couldn't you remove #2 and have its height measured?
