Porsche change the Carrera cranks?
Is the 3.2 crank from an '84 is different than the 3.2 crank from a later engine? The left picture is mine, the '84. The right one is a later crank ('86). The oil holes look much bigger on the later...not to mention the disparity in picture size is huge...lol. I assume the '86 style is significantly better because it allows significantly more oil to flow into it and it's made later. Correct?

I think Porsche was trying to fix the rod-bearing problem by increasing the hole size and the rod dimensions. I don’t think it made any difference.
