K27 turbo 11.1 question...
I know a k27 11.11 is a high flow turbo but, Have you ever heard of a k27 11.1? If so, how does it compare to the high flow or just what is it??
Thanks! |
As long as this subject is being brought up, can anyone provide some detailed data as to the difference between the regular K27 and the HF model including model/part numbers?
|
From what little I can gather, the K27HF is a hybrid with some Garrett parts in it. There's a HF2 out now that's supposed to be good up to 650hp but I haven't found any info on it.
|
The K27HF is a custom turbo with a different cold side that allows it to push a lot more air than the standard (7006/7200) variants. Its supposed to be able to support ~500hp. HF2 is the newer variant that, as David said, supposed to support 600+hp.
I believe you can only get the k27 HF through Imagine Auto now? |
I called Imagine Auto yesterday to ask about the HF2. They said it's so new they don't have details or pricing, but they'd call me back when they have details. I thought Imagine was the main source for the HF's, I guess I was wrong. Anyone know who makes them?

Still looking for info on a k27 11.1?? I know it's way different then the 11.11HF. I do know it was used back in the early '90's on turbo racers.
Any help would be great, Rick '89 930 '65 mini track car |
Stephen at Imagine Auto is the source for the high flows. He does not make them, but he is the dealer for them. I have owned a hf what do you need to know? High flows are not a factory item. They have a larger 60mm compressor wheel in them. Hp max is around 550, but I think I could have gotten more than that on the dyno:) If Stephen does not have info yet that means that they are not ready to sale yet:)
