Oil Pressure

Recently fired up a 2.4 twin plug with all the case oil mods done and a new pump installed. The question is should I be concerned with the following oil pressures, 25-28 psi warm at idle (1000 Rpm) 80 - 85 psi @ 5000.

My initial thoughts were these are great but now I am concerned that there may be issuses as they seem so high for the 911 engine. There is only 40 minutes of run time on the motor and it sounds great but !

Comments please
Thanks Chris

The idle pressure does seem higher than normal but maybe the engine wasn't that hot yet. The 5k numbers look spot on. You may have a guage issue on the idle number. I'd just drive the crap out of it and keep an eye on the oil pressure to get some history on it. Also check the guage with the ignition on and the engine not running. It should read zero or close to it. I had a bad sender that read about 15 psi with the engine off so it showed about 25 psi with the engine idling.

Should have mentioned it but readings are with a mechanical gauge, my thoughts are why add one more potential source of error into the equation.

I'll check the calibration on the gauge one never knows !

Chris

Just did a gauge calibration, as I thought the gauge is good within 1 psi.

Any further thoughts ?
