Please help identify 993 cam
Hi guys,
Please could you guys help identify the following cam. The numbers on the cam are: 993 246 70. I believe there should be a 105 added into to the number. I believe the full number should be 993 105 246 70. I checked with the local Porsche agent, but they have no record of the cam shaft number. The numbers definately look like they are Porsche numbers. I was told that they were Porsche racing cams. Any help identifying these cams as well as the recommended timing specs for this cam would be appreciated. By the way, I know this is only the RH cam, I do have the left cam as well ![]() ![]() Thanks in advance. Markus |

The 70 at the end of the part number is consistent with what I know to be Porsche's nomenclature for racing parts.

I have seen that number on the nose of the 993 super cup cams. The specs are on my website. 2.0 mm is the setting.
