What p&c are necessary to build a short stroke 3.2

What P&C will I need if I want to build a 3.2 from a 3.0 (sc)? Will the carrera 3.2 mahle p&c work?

Thanks,

George

The Carrera P/C's are 95mm, same diam. as your 3.0 P/C's. You can buy LN Engineering or Mahle c's or bore and replate 3.2 c's (can't do it to the 3.0 c's due to the ring grove on them).

I have spare 3.2 c's that I can have bored and replated for you. That is the least costly route. Used 98mm parts that will work with your 3.o conrods is the other option. Sherman (Shuie) may have a used set, and maybe Jamie (jnovak) too.

LN Engineering c's are beautiful and well engineeered parts. Mahles are $$$ and hard to get in the custom CR that you might want.

I am asking because I found some 3.2 carrera p&c. I do not have my books handy, I realize this was a stoopid question. Bore stays the same between SC3.0 and Carrera 3.2, it is the stroke they changed.

I am in no immediate need to get new P&C, the engine runs great, but if I had had the opportunity to buy new mahle P&C that give me an additional .2 liters, I certainly would have bought them and put them on the shelf until I needed them.

Thanks!!!

George

SC wrist pin diameter is 22mm and the Carrera is 23mm.;)

EDIT: Sorry, I misread your post. I thought you wanted to simply swap the 95mm Carrera units into the SC. You're going to get 98's anyway with the right wrist pin diameter. My bad.:(
