rocker shaft comes out!!!
Was doing a valve adj/RSR seal job the other day and there looking back at me was a rocker shaft working its way out of his home !! I have herd of this b4 -when I installed them I know they were all torqed dwn. Whats the reason for comming out??
I think next time I have things apart I will drill the rocker boxes and place a set screw in every shaft

used ones need about 20# torque to stay put. the factory spec is not sufficient.

I echoed your sentiments... one of my rocker arm adjustment nuts backed out on me completely
 Thank god it only fell to the bottom valve cover instead of through the oil tube into the crankcase.Guess I muse have been sleeping when I did my valve job last time to not tighten them enough.

20 lbs??I know you know what your talking about John, just seems like I would break them lil things right off.
