Question Welding and powdercoating??

To make along story short... I snapped off one of my targa bar studs when reinstalling the targa bar. I can't get it cinched down enough to get the philips screws in without the stud.

I have JB Welded the stud back on (not expecting a miracle). If I was to have a new stud welded on properly would that foul up the beautiful powdercoating job?

Here's a photo to ponder while it dries....

any time you weld you need to grind the area clean so yes it would mess it up in that area and further down depending on the heat and material etc
