2.61 Twin Turbo

I saw a post and track video on a Pat Williams racing built 3.2l based 2.61 tt with a 996 bodywork. That car is unbelievable!

Anyway, that sorta project obviously isn't cheap. What would the parts list look like for this engine project??

Why, I can't beleive you haven't posted a reply here yet. Well let me help a bit:

Expenses:

Core motor
Machine shop
P & C
Crank
Turbos
Wastegates
Engine management
Engine monitoring
Fuel induction
Ignition
Exhaust

Sounds like fun. Good Luck.

I have only recently started thinking about building something vs. purchasing a turn key project. My initial post was too general. What I should have asked is does a 2.6 tt even makes sense. That 996 wide bodywork rocks though. I would have chosen another color though. Ultimately I need something to keep those pesky zo6s etc. from getting by. Here are some options I was thinking about:

1. One could start with a 3.3t and modify it to a 3.5t. With efi and other goodies that is probably enough without adding another turbo. There have been similar cars displayed on Pelican.

2. 3.6 engines are readily available so one could start with this a go to 3.8. One could turbo or tt either of these.

Am I loosing it?? It could be the sleep deprivation caused by my 5 month old twins:D
