3.2 Rebuild/info wanted

This is my first time,be gentle! Just pulled my 156,000 mile eng/trans for clutch job & hoping someone can help decode my v.i.n. & trim tag #'s. I seem to be getting conflicting info as to what I have. Thanks for the help !!

vin# WPOABO915FS121789
Tag under front hood: Engine --93021-64F
Trans. --91568-74F
Paint/Int.--L999 VA
Options-- CO2
Stamped # on trans--- 915/73 74F 04705

Where is stamped # on engine located?Number on trans seems to not match # on tag? Am I reading correctly or not? I have NO history on this car & trying to determine exactly what I have.
Planning on top end rebuild ( valve job, rings, maybe cams 964? & basic R&R as needed. Looking for thoughts & watchouts,do's & don'ts.Have read many variety of opions out there. Already seem to be falling into that "While I'm in there" mode. Don't know if my marriage will stand up to it! PLEASE HELP! THANK YOU!!!

Morgans book shows your car as an 85' Carrera US with an 85' motor and an 86' tranny. I believe L999 stands for special order color.

Would that be why the #'s don't match from tag to what is stamped on trans?Could this have been factory installed or likely replaced at a later time?

SO MUCH INFO,SO LITTLE TIME..........

My guess is that the tranny was replaced but that's just a guess.
