Question question cam tower nuts/washers

After a couple of months...I ready to start the engine assembly.

1989 3.2L

To mount the cam towers to the heads...

I think there are 3 barrel nuts and 15 nylock nuts.

What are the washer types to be used... all I see is AL washers for the nylock nuts....I don't see any wavy washers...what if anything goes under the barrel nuts?

Are the nylock nuts and AL washers for the 15 positions correct?

Sorry for the dumb question....all I see in my labeled bag is barrel nuts, nylocks and AL washers.

Thanks,

-Henry

Don't think nylocks are used in this application. You are correct, there are 3 barrel nuts per cam tower and the rest are standard nuts. Spring (wavy) washers are used under all nuts (std and barrel).

Charlie,
Thanks....I'll recount and look at the washers again...then maybe ask my mechanic or Jim Bauman (just rebuilt his 3.2 near here) if no other replies show up....

Cheers,
-Henry

my mechanic tells me the nuts are not the nyloc type but are a "regular" type with as you say wavy's under all.
The Pelican number for the wavy is N-102-241-8... I forget what the "N" translates to in Porsche numbers

Still looking for the nut....I don't see it on the Pelican website yet.

I found the bags of hardware... wavyies and reg. looking thickish 8mm nuts so all is good for now..... panic over at least on this area of the engine.
thanks for the response
