Oil Pressure Warning Switch
I have dropped the engine today to inspect the source of persistent oil leak/s coming from top of engine. Engine is 3.0 liter (1978 SC) and it looks like the oil pressure warning switch is the culprit. Other possible sources of leaks in this area are the breather cover, breather hose connection, and the engine thermostat seal.
What's a better way to minimize this persistent oil leak? Oil pressure warning switch is just 2 years old. Any suggestions, tips, tricks, recommendations or comments are welcome. TD |

There was a thread a while back that recommended coating the seam where the metal and plastic pieces of the switch join with epoxy. Thats what I did when the engine was out.

Pressure oil switch....
Walt,
Do you recall what type or brand of epoxy you used? I'll do a search and thanks for your reply. TD |

I like JB. I sealed a radiator crack with this stuff once and it lasted for years.
