Valve covers, torque?

Two questions from a flat-six newbie: is the "turbo" valve cover upgrade really worth it (2.4 NOT currently leaking)? and.....what should the covers be torqued to (original and turbo type)?
Thanks, Randy

If they aren't leaking I would wait as you have nothing to gain. The torque spec is 6 ft lbs regardless of the type cover.

Thanks walt...as I am about to do a valve adjust, I thought this might be the time to upgrade rather than risk creating a leak...it also has been suggested that the upgraded covers provide some additional cooling. Does this make sense?
Thanks

Any additional cooling they do would have to be minimal because the gasket creates a thermal barrier between them and the cam tower but atleast they can only help.
