Cam tower spray bar steps

Thanks to everyone who posted on this previously. I would appreciate it if someone would confirm the steps for removing the spray bar in an 83 3.0 head. Is it just drill out/tap/pull the two plugs I am pointing to in the pics below? THere were some references to "location pins" in some past threads that I didn't understand.

Thanks

That's it. New ones are very cheap from Porsche

As for me I tapped and put in pipe plugs for two reasons, can take it out with no fuss, and seems more fool proof then plugs.

There are "locating pins" part way down the tube that hold it in place. I've never removed the spray bars, I just R&R the plugs and clean them in place.

You're right Chris. Those pins have (I think) a 8mm hex head and must be turned out before pulling the bars out.

all thats true, just remember there is a right side up, and dwn to them, should you elect to take them out.
