just had a good long chat with Stephen. he has spoken with arp at lenth with regard to torque/stretch and he torques everything. he hasn't ever seen a faliure. in his words 'just torque to 35-torque to 35-torque to 35 and forget about them. good enough for me.

P.S. Stephen is a real nice guy. very helpfull and more than willing to help out with any questions/ bits and pieces/engine parts that you need.

Those rod bolts are fine...they only have 400 miles on them. All of which are quarter mile passes. So that is just 1600 passes:) Just playing with you Andy:) Those rods are virgins and the rod bolts are fine. I would not even think twice about using them.

My car has been on hold for quite some time now waiting on an intake and intercooler. It is getting REAL REAL OLD! I have a 96 cobra I just bought a bit over a month ago. I have about got it where I want it. It should be a solid 10 second car very soon for not much money at all. Basic bolt on car with a 150 shot of juice. Too bad you cant even dream of doing that in a Porsche:(

dude, am I missing something?? Are you going to risk how many bucks on an unknown??? Don't do it. All may be well, but all may NOT be well so you make the choice, it it worth an engine??

I here you Jack and I may have just had a bit of a result on some new bolts as we speak. ive found a guy over here that has a set that he didn't use (abandoned project) hes letting me have them for £50 so im having them.

I re-use ARP rod bolts that haven't been involved in an over-rev IF and ONLY if I have the original measurements. They MUST be a known entity and in my mind, if I didn't do it, it AIN'T KNOWN.

yeah, fair point chris. im kind of glad ive got a new set
