I just finished rebuilding my 3.2L Alternator Fan Housing Assembly, Look!
I'm still rebuilding my engine but I did get this part of the project done, I had my alternator completely rebuilt (new bearings, brushes, etc.). I also decided to try out my luck with powder coating the fan and in addition I painted the fan housing with Hi-temp paint (1200F) then cured it for 2-hours at 400F for that hard shell finish. I think they came out pretty good, it was a good choice not powder coating the fan housing because of the potential for interference between the fan blade and fan housing. Oh boy! It turns soo smoothly and I can't wait to mount it! Here's a few pics, since then I have done a lot more powder coating and hi-temp painting.
