CIS K-jet -- 2.7 vintage v. 1979 3.0SC vintage
P-listers,
Upon inspecting the CIS system on my rebuilt 1979 3.0SC engine, I discovered the previous mechanic put an entire 2.7 FI system on my 3.0SC engine. I have swapped out the fuel distributor and the WUR to the right model but I still can't get the engine to start or run properly without standing over the engine and manually working the air flow sensor plate and throttle body. Question: will the 2.7 air flow sensor and throttle body work with the 3.0SC fuel distributor and WUR. I noticed the control plunger in the fuel distributors are slightly different. Do I need to or can I make adjustments to the air flow sensor and throttle body to get this combination to work properly or do I need to find the right model air flow sensor and throttle body as well? All suggestions are appreciated. Duane Duclaux Richmond, VA

I believe the air flow sensor plate was larger on the 2.7, among other things, so it might not work with the 3.0 fuel distributor. Whole CIS systems can be had relatively cheap, in working order, which might be an option for you rather than replacing the peices which aren't working from the 2.7 CIS.
