Piston Squirters
Hi Guys,
I would like to know where to get new piston squitrers. Mine were damaged when I rebuilt my motor last year. I managed to make a plan in a hurry to get the car on the road. I will be doing a strip & check of the motor at the end of the year, and would like to replace them. I have not been able to find them on this site. Please help!!!!! |
Direct from Porsche? Don't worry, they are cheap!
|
Do you have a part number?
|
Sorry I don't. Send an e-mail to your Porsche Spare Parts Centre and ask them directly I guess.

Wayne's book has the p/n's:
911.101.011.01 And Pelican sells them: they're called "Valves" in the Pelican store, rather than "Squirters". |
Thanks guys,
I got the part numbers for the 911 & 930. Just wanted to know what the difference between the 911 & 930 piston squirters are. Wayne should also add the name squirter to the description, so that they can be found in a search of this site. Thanks again. |
I have two add my own .02 cents here, they or really a kind of pop off valve the name "squirter" I find miss leading because to me it implies an orface, which is not the case they our a spring loaded device that requires so much pressure before they release oil to the pistons, You can not block the oil passages with your fingers and use compress air ,to much pressure ,and you certainly can not just squirt carb cleaner through them. This info cost me $77.00:(

OK, so you drill a hole the right size into the oil galley, put the squirter in place. Then what, peen the outside over to trap the squirter in the hole?
Thanks Ed |

Bill,
Very nice illustration. Where did it come from. Ed |
Shop manual, can't remember which one SC/Carrera/964/993 they are all the same wrt this operation.
The valves do have different ratings. |
Can anyone tell me from their experience if the port that follows back to the oil journal is a constant diameter, or is there a counterbore so that the oil squirter sits on a land.
Thanks Ed |
