Shroud thru holes

Hello, looking at the shroud from the back of the fan there are 3 holes about an inch in diameter. The one in the centre has a grommet which I fed the alternator wires through. Beside it is a hole with a metal nipple. What connects to this. There was nothing there when I bought the car. And to the right of this nipple is an additional hole with nothing in it. Should there be something here as well/

Thanks, Joe

I believe I'm starting to figure this out on my own. The hole to the far right is for MFI pump access for adjusment? Now just the middle hole with the metal nipple. Can anybody tell me where this connects?

Thanks, Joe

A friend at the GAF show told me last weekend. Apparently, it's for a vent tube for the carbon canister (fuel evap. control) in the trunk. I hope I got that right.

Yes, the one with the metal coupler is for a hose for the EGR system. Plug it.
