My Uncle's new 2.0L race motor is done (pics)
Here is another beautiful motor built by Aase motors (Alan). He has built 3 of the 4 Plavan Racing clan's motors. We are very happy with them. We would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a great motor builder.
Specs- 2.0L with 81mm 10.5:1 J&E pistons 69S heads GE-80 profile Cams 46mm PMO carbs http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1126035925.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1126035933.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1126035966.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1126035977.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1126035994.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1126036001.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1126036018.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1126036029.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1126036039.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1126036047.jpg |
I'm assuming this motor is race gas only due to the single plugs?
|
Yup, we all use race gas. It's a race car. :)

Plavan
Are those 2.0 connecting rods new or used? |
The rods are just rebuilt.

Wow, after looking at turbo pistons last week, those J & E's looked to be all of 10.5:1 and then some. Probably appear to have a greater dome due to the small bore.
Should be a fun motor. What's a ballpark $$$$ for Alan to assemble a motor? Curious. Tinker |
You would need to call Alan about $$$$. I can say he is VERY reasonable and he does excellent work as you can see.
Call the shop and ask for him 714-922-2283 He is now catching up to Frank Beck in the number of motors running with VARA. This is Alan's 4th VARA motor this year. Jim Plavan 2.0L Chad Plavan 2.5L Lenonard Scott 2.5L John Plavan 2.0L Mark Scott and My cousin are next for overhauls. |
