Hi. Anybody know if I need to use any type of adhesive/goo on the exhaust studs? I took off the stock exhaust headers on my 993tt engine to get ceramic coated, and I decided to renew all 12 studs....so, when I install new studs, do I need to to any locktite or anything?? How about turbo's-to-exhaust studs...do I need anything here?

Wurth makes a nice copper paste (like anti seize) that is perfect for this. I think it is CU-800. You don't want to locktight them. If they ever break off you want to make sure you can remove them again without a drill.

I use Neverseez and it does a fine job. Haven't yet busted an automotive nut.

Anti seize works great. If you have problems with header bolts coming loose go to a locking style header bolt. I just put a set on my cobra this weekend

If the fasteners used in a high temperature environment are steel, use anti-sieze. if they are stainless steel, paint them with milk of magnesia and you won't have any problem with galling or corrosion.
