Oil pump help...

I am accumulating parts for a 2.2 S spec motor. I have an oil pump available that the seller can't tell me what the pump is out of...a little help would be appreciated. Is the part number...911.107.105.1R....an SC or carrera pump? Thanks in advance

The SC and Carrera pump are the same except for the pickup tube. The SC pump has a pickup like all the previous oil pumps while the Carrera pump has a round screen as part of the pickup tube. I'll post a picture for you.

Ok...that helps...

But to make sure I'm not adding yet another 2.7 pump to the inventory....is the part number an SC Pump at least? If the 2.7 pump is the same...I already have three of those. ...just don't want to add another. thanks

I checked a couple pumps in the garage and it looks like that number could be on a late 3.0 pump or a Carrera pump. Here is a picture of a Carrera pump:

The 3.0 pump will look like your 2.7 pump except it will have 4 ribs on the side rather than 3 like your 2.7 pump. Here is a picture of a 3.0 pump.

.

The only downside to the Carrera pump for your application is that you will need to remove the screen and sump plate and use the round "dome" sump plate which doesn't have a oil drain plug.... or Henry @ Supertec is making a cast aluminum "dome" cover with a oil plug.

BTW: I'll send over the pictures of the P&Cs in a few minutes

Thanks for the help John..

I need to try to get someone to check the part number for me. I know about the drain plug issue with the carrera pump and for that reason was hoping the pump was out of an SC.
