can anyone tell me if this epoxy on the outer side is supposed to be on the rail bolts?http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1127947245.jpg

Yes, just like it looks in the photo. Be sure to scrape it off and re apply some JB weld or similar product.

I've seen one of the lower rail studs (?) back itself right out of the chainbox! It was on a firiend's SC. We put in another and he went back to the track the next day.
