IWIS chains
I bought new chains there are made by IWIS, the roller (the part of the chain that rides on the gear) is split, that is they have a seam, see photo. My old chains the roller is seam less they have a logo something like a star with a W inside. Should I just assume that the seam less type are better?

IWIS is the original supplier to Porsche. I've even ordered new chains from Porsche only to have them arrive in an IWIS box! I'm sure this is the current offering from them although I am curious and should take a look in stock...

Chains with a master link allow you to replace chains without taking the case
apart to get the chains around the intermediate shaft. andy |
