MSII v3 MSQ File
I'm attempting to tune my Megasquirt II v3, would anyone be willing to e-mail me their msq file? Will make things much quicker than starting from the generic 6 cyl profile.
I have received a MS1 msq, but it was corrupt and the embedded code didn't 'like' it... thanks |
John,
How far along are you in the rebuild process? Than |

Hi Than,
Bottom end all sealed up, top end comes together this weekend. MS2 v3 board all together, just troubleshooting some max RPM tuning issues on the software. Found a 912 donor car in Qld, trying to get up there to look soon...and you? |
Struggling with the seller of the engine from May of this year to get the remining parts. Expect the flywheel this week so I can start checking the rod clearances and begin assembling the bottom.
Otherwise great. Two more late season track events (Watkins Glen and VIR) and then I start the engine in earnest. |
What a pain.
Did you bother with boatailing? I had everything all sterile and ready to go back together and decided to go ahead and boatail, so I had to clean everything twice, that alu dust gets everywhere even if you tape up the oil passages. It only took about 4 hours, 4 carbide burrs on a die-grinder and 10 yards (er...meters) of emery cloth but it came out really well. So what if it doesn't make a difference...I got to spend a few more hours working in the garage! |
Do you have any pictures of the inside of the case before you sealed it back up?
|
Yes, will post...might have the opportunity to take some more, one of the piston wrist pin springs just "jumped" inside the #5 spigot and I can'tfind it....will post the pics...
|
I hope you find the spring

Will,
Thanks a lot. I re-burned a fresh s19 file, followed by loading your msq file. Works great now, my RPM fault is gone. I must have had a corrupt file. For future reference, I have a v3 board, seems to like it fine. Are you running twin plug on your EDIS setup? Than, files to come shortly.... John |
Will, I'm going through your ignition settings now, I notice some unexpected things about your file:
1. I know you said you are running a WB controller, but the msq file was set to narrowband? 2. Under "Ignition Settings" on Megatune, the file was set with: Trigger Offset = 0, Ignition Input Capture to 'Falling Edge', Cranking Trigger to 'Calculated', Coil Charging Scheme to 'Standard Coil Charging', Spark Output to 'Going Low (Normal)' However, Megasquirt site calls for the following settings for EDIS: Trigger offset = 10° Ignition Input Capture to 'Falling Edge', Cranking Trigger to 'Trigger Return', Coil Charging Scheme to 'EDIS', Spark Output to 'Going High (Inverted)' Are you running EDIS with the former settings, or do I need to reset/send the correct settings to the ecu? thanks again |

Than,
Let me know if you want any specific close-ups, I've got lots...http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1130273668.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1130273734.jpg |
