There are still problems....but...

Carbon fibre and many fiblres in fact are generally considered to have infinite fatigue life.

Its the matrix microcracking and failure of bonding which cause the problems in general..though most fibres are not keen on compression loads either..

Achieving the right degree of anisotropic reinforcement is also a challenge..

There are actually two Pelicanites that have my 102 machine in kits for their 3.2s, along with another two or three other sets floating around in ambiguity. I don't charge anything more for them than any other cylinder, just it takes longer since I don't stock them :-) From what i'm told, it makes for a killer n/a engine!
