Cams How Easy Should They Spin
I have just installed my cam towers and cam shafts, my right side one went on without any issues after installing the left one I noticed it it was binding a bit and making a noise as it turned so I slackened off then re torqued the bolts, this seemed to solve my problem, however both my camshaft's dont turn very easily they turn smoothly with no noise but there is an amount of resistance is this normal? I was thinking maybe due to the viscosity of the lubricant causing resistance?

If they spin the same as they did before you torqued the head studs then they have no drag. It's when they start to bind as you tighten the headstuds that you have a problem. Yes you should feel some resistance due to the viscosity of the oil.

If you can turn them by the snouts by hand, you should be fine. Better if both sides feel similar.
