What tools do I need?

I am planning to try to fix an oil leak coming from the chain housing and the interface of the towers and the heads. What tools do I need? Should I do anything else while the engines out?

If I understand the leaks you propose to repair you will need quite a few tools. Dial guages and holders, straight edge and holder, cam nut wrenches, torque wrench and hex bits, etc. Do you have Wayne's engine rebuilding book?

Yes I do. But I thought I could skip some of the rec'd tools from the book.

You can improvice the cam holder and cam nut wrench (if you have the early style cam nut 46mm), do a search.

Is there anyone out there who could lend the rebuilding tools?
