73.5 Cis

Can a 73.5 911T CIS be adapted to work on a 2.7 CIS 911 engine? I’m pretty sure that the intake runners and heads are different between these engines. Thanks for any advise!

No; runners, heads and fuel injectors are different between the 2.4l 73.5T CIS and the later 2.7l CIS. I also suspect the 73.5 CIS fuel distributor may not be matched to the increased fuel flow requirements of a 2.7.

73.5 cis

Can the 2.7 runners/injectors be made to work with the 73.5 air box? I assumed because cis monitored fuel delivery just on air flow.

i'm pretty sure that the CIS fuel distributor can be tweaked into putting out more fuel for the 2.4 > 2.7 upgrade... that never has been a problem for other applications... some manage turn N/A cars into turbos using the stock system, so the .3 or 12% increase in displacement probably wouldn't be such a huge deal...
