ARP head studs

In a stroke of brilliance, I have thrown away the box to the ARP head studs before the torque sequence was complete. And guess what...the torque values were on the back of the box. Went to the ARP site and they say 38 ft lbs with ARP moly. Man, does that seem really tight! Building a 3.0l case. Can anybody confirm this value?

Thanks! Jimmy

Jimmy,

You are close - 36 ft lbs with ARP moly. I still have my box, and this is on the back. Also listed are torque values for M6 studs and M8 studs where the torque is less (8 and 14 ft lbs). Maybe this is what you are remembering. The M10 head studs are definately 36 ft lbs of torque with the ARP Moly.

Rex,
Thanks for your quick response. You've been a great help! Going to get back to it.

Jimmy
