Rod Bearing Part Number Question
Ok, just trying to be thorough about my rebuild. In the PET, the connecting rod bearing for my 1991 C2 has a part number of 930-103-147-00. However, I have found that the part number used on both of the previous rebuilds has been 914-103-141-00. This is apparently the number for the 71-77 911 engine. Does anybody know the difference? The 930-XXX part number is about $105, while the 914-XXX part is about $35.
I want to be very complete, and try and identify the cause of the rod bearing failures. |
I don't know if this helps but I looked in my notes and I used 930.103.147.15 for a '91 964 motor I did a year ago.
