Locking down the engine plan

Ok - I've flip-flopped more than a fresh carp in the last few months!

- First I wanted a high revving 2.6 built with 92mm P&Cs on a 7R case, but I wanted a bit more power.
- Then a 3.0 core came along and the idea shifted to a 3.0 with JE pistons, GE-40 style cams and webers, but I thought it would be 'too modern / mid 70's' for my early 911 .
- Then Henry posted the 2.8SS engine he had recently done for a client (curse you Henry! :) )
- I couldn't find a decent 3.0 Carerra case, so now I'm back to a short stroke 2.5-2.6 engine built on an early aluminium case - Basically a pure high-revving, free-spinning, sporting engine for the streets.

Got all that?

Now I have:
2.2 S with Webers in the car right now
Disassembled 3.0 in storage
early aluminum 2.0 on it's way to me

The plan is:
Early aluminium case and intermediate shaft
Heads from the 2.2 S
Early S Cams
Webers
Counter-Weighted 66mm crankshaft
92mm RSR Pistons
90mm Cylinders bored to 92mm and replated (maybe nickies if budget allows)
ARP or Supertec head studs
ARP Rod Bolts

Now I just have to get it put together and get the spares sold!

Regards,
Andrew M
