964 cams in a 930-what do i need?
 

im running 964 cams in my 930. do i need to use 964 cam sprockets/bolts/shims etc or will the 930 stuff work?

I'm pretty sure all of your existing 930 "hardware" will work. I've got a set of SC for mine and visibly (aside from the grind) they look identical to the 930s.

Do the 964 cams have the extension on the driver's side cam for the turbo sump pump?

You need the later bolt and washer for the 964 cams. If your 930 is an 1982 and up, the 930 bolts will work.
The left cam also needs the scavenge pump extension as Dave mentioned. It can be added.
The right side cam on an oem 964 camshaft has a power steering drive which should be removed when installing in the 930 engine. You can also punch out the plug at the end of the housing and install a seal if you did not remove the extension.

sand man i think your 930 and sc cams look the same because they were manufacutered around the same time so were using the same design of hardware. Dave, im going to gravity drain my turbo so don't need to worry about the drive for the scavenge pump. John, are the cam sproket holders and cam sprockets the same on both 964 and 930 or will i need the 964 stuff?

All cam sprockets, pins and holders are the same.

If you plan to gravity drain your turbo try to put the fitting as close to the scavenge pump pick up as possible. The oil pump creates a great deal of suction and will help to drain the turbo faster than gravity alone.

you can just get a set of 930 cams and have them reground, thats what I did. it didnt cost that much.
