Looking for size (cc) of 2.2 - 2.7 heads

I am trying to calculate out compression ratio for a set of pistons that I am ordering. Trying to figure out how much cc's I should build up in the dome to accomplish my target.

What I am in need of is if anyone has a value of the cc's of a 2.2 - 2.7L head.

Mine will be twin plugged, so I am not sure if that adds or subtracts from the overall cc's since there is a pocket for the extra plug, but the spark plug ends up protruding into the cylinder.

Also, I know I can look this up somewhere, but what is my target deck height for the piston.

Thanks

Ed

Hi Ed... I'm in the middle of the same exercise building my 2.5SS motor. According to Henry, a 2.7 head is 69cc. I just measured mine and I got just under 69cc. Twin plug would add a tiny bit.

1mm seems to be the target deck height. I've seen others go down to .75mm to increase CR and up to 1.25mm to decrease it.

Hope this helps.

Thanks. That helps. Do you also happen to know block height.

This is the dimension from the centerline of the crank to the top of the cylinder.

Thanks
Ed
