crankcase breather gasket?

I know Wayne's books says to install dry, but would it be even better to use some sort of sealant with the gasket, seeing as how this is a source of leaks for many?

I use some Curil-T on them for precisely that reason. The seal seems to be hit or miss otherwise. I'm guessing this is because people have a tendency to overtighten and warp these covers.

Thanks. Torque spec is 11 n-m on these M6 nuts, correct?
