Look at what we did at my house this weekend

3.6L in a 1973 911

Myself, and my friend Chad built the 3.6 for another friend of ours, and we got it in the car this weekend. Haven't fired it up yet. He has alot of electrical work ahead of him before he's ready to fire it up.

But the car and the engine look pretty cool!!!!

Killer work Brian!

So when are you starting your own shop up there?

briankeithsmith 01-18-2006 05:49 PM

As soon as you drop the cash off to build the shop.

You have plenty laying around don't ya :)

You know, you really can't see the carbon fiber shroud. I know that was a big deal for the owner...

I think unless you have carbs or MFI...Too much gets covered up. Good lesson learned.

Very nice!!
off topic, what rear coil-overs are those??

sergeshishik 01-22-2006 08:52 AM

sweet job this car looks great, what did you paint the valve covers with?

briankeithsmith 01-22-2006 09:31 AM

The owner had them powder coated. I wouldn't recommend doing it again...

Hey Brian,

I would recomend that you put a piece of plywood between your jackstands and the concrete block.

Yeah Dean, I hear ya. I didn't have any around. Gotta roll with what you've got sometimes.

Wow, car looks super sorted.. Love it!

With those rear calipers postioned at the top of the rotor, looks as though you have to remove them for bleeding. What was reasoning for this placement? Just curious..

Brian that car would look better with your turbo engine in it:)

Chris:

I have no clue why they were mounted that way. The only thing I worked on was the engine... I didn't pay attention to the rest of it, didn't have time.
