1965 2.0 ltr motor ???

I hope that this is okay to ask in this Forum.
Trying to match it up with someone that can really use it.
SALE PENDING
1965 2.0LTR 6 CYLINDER MOTOR FROM 911
#903105
What is a very fair price? Turns freely by hand, no damage, engine tin included and in great shape.
No carbs.

Has to be shipped from St. Louis.
Can someone tell me what I should be looking for in terms of an realistic offer?

Thanks

Len,

If its in good shape and considering its a longblock standard 2 liter (not S...) you migth be looking at 750-1200 for it. That's based on what I have paid recently for similar motors.

It also has the early cylinders which some don't like as much as the latter ones but it has an early aluminum case which are IMHO the good ones.

In saying that, are you looking to sell it?

Thanks.
Yes, I will most likely list it in the For sale.
However, i have 3 people interested in it.
Just want to be fair to myself and them.
I will post the Vin # of the car for better info in the matter.
Thanks
Len

Understood, if they pass on it let me know. Another thing to look for (at least I do) is for a clean title to the engine. If you can provide info on the provenance of the engine it helps a lot.

Cheers, Juan
