help with the id of 964 cams
Im getting ready for a weekend of cam timing madness and suddenly had a thought-I haven't id'd my cam as a 964 cam yet! so just to make sure im not putting the wrong cam in my 3.3turbo can anyone confirm that these numbers are right? these are the numbers from the right cam
964 246 407 111 1

The original 964 cams will have 964 246 07 and 964 247 07 stamped on the snout. The right side cam will also have the power steering extension.
Does the left cam have the extension for your turbo scavenge pump?

Hi John, Ive just spotted the numbers on the snout of my cams. they say 964 246 09 and 964 247 07. as for the drive for the scavenge, the right cam had an extension on it that i have cut off, the left cam did not. I am planning on a gravity drain system. how about the number 9 on the left cam-is that strange?

I looked at a right side cam here at the shop, it says 09. definetly a 964 cam.
