After an extensive and expensive rebuild, see photo, it apears that the fan housing is warped or the fan is, not quite sure. The blades strike the housing at the bottom of their arc. Being that this is a '74 housing (901.106.011.00) is it possible to replace it with a 78-83 housing (930.106.005.00) If so, is there a viable source for this part? I'm really itching to get this back on the road.
Side note... It didn't strike before the rebuild. could have the powder coating have warped it? Or could this be the result of a drop? Any guesses? ![]()

It's fairly common for that result after powder coating. Do a search and you'll read how some of the guys make allowances, like sanding the outside edge of the blades to increase the clearance.
