rod bolts question
If you don't want to spend the $$ for ARP bolts, how does one successfully re-size rods and then install, if the factory bolts are only good for one-time torque? Thanks in advance!

Get Waynes book, it has your ansewer in it.
Send-off the rods with your old r/bolts and some other information about that in his book. A must have, really. Bob

Just make sure someone other than the shop doing the rods checks them for size, 99% of rods dont have to be resized or unless you had a bearing out of it.. You can check them too

Craig, Thanks for the reply. This is a 66' 2.0. So far, the disassembly shows nominal wear. All the bearings looked pretty good. The crank looked good and measured at standard tolerance.. The rod bearings look ok, just normal wear, but I would like to be prudent. What do you suggest? Thanks

If the crank is in spec you are not gong to have it ground under are you? if the rods are in spec why have them re-sized? Just check them and you will know, I will bet they are OK
