where do the alternator wires go?

I am putting my 88 930 3.3L turbo together and Don't know which wires get connected to which connections on the back of the alternator. When I got it it was already apart. Wayne book and the Bentley manual do not have pictures that show how to connect the wiring harness to the back of the alternator. there are about 6 wires and 4 posts on the back of the alternator. Any one out there that can post a color pic?

A search on the 911 tech forum will yield all the information you can stand on this subject.

yes except nothing really tells what wires go where on the back of the alternator, there are a couple that mention some of the wires but not where every thing goes

Does this help? It's a 3 liter but should be similar.

There should be labels on the back of the alternator. The various connections are B+, DF, D+, D-, and D68 (guessing on this last one). Some of these aren't there if you have a regulator in the alternator. The threads you've seen should tell you what wire goes to each of these.
