Oh Henry, 12plug for my 3.1 build
Received my 12 plug SC distributor conversion from Supertec.
Henry went the extra mile to cleanup the mess after discovering my vacuum advance was rusted solid. Many thanks to Super guys at Supertec.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1144429316.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1144429337.jpg |
Glad you like Chapp! I think you will very happy with it.

That is pretty:)

I keep sneeking out to the garage to look at it. I already marked the cap with the firing order for ease in installation.

How long till you get her back on the road?
|
I am hoping by July. The engine is at the shop and I haven't an idea how fast they get their work done, This time of year everyone wants their car checked out. They have had the engine since October and they just finished the heads and had the crank checked. I know the heads are done and they have all the parts with exception to the twinplug distributor which they will see this week. I have been busy working on the body for the repaint if all goes well could be as early as June but I dont count on it.
My 914 weighs in heavy at 2300lbs and I may be seeing 400hp at 1bar, which should make for some excitement. |
Henry receives my SC distributor today for the conversion. :D Can't wait to get it back!

What does Henry charge for an SC dizzy conversion to dual plug?
|
1st generation around 1,000, 2nd generation around 1,200. the 2nd generation as an extra support bearing in it.
|
I opted for GenII. You also have to provide your own distributor core. Don't forget about ignition boxes, coils, spark plug wires, modified harness, head and lower valve cover mods. All totalled, about $2500 going the Bosch CDI route.

Does that include regraphing?
