Yeah I've had it for a while and I still have to pause once in a while !

I'm open to any suggestions from fellow bay area folks. BTW that price was for all one color, too.

I'm not sure that price is high. I did my own and spent $65.00 on supplies to do everything I could PC and many hours bead blasting parts. My fan housing outgased several times even doing everything recommended to prep. Magnesium is very unpredictable! On the fan housing I have 6-7 hours of time in just that part. Definately one of those learning experiences.

Most shops go by the area (square inch) or size of each piece. Also by how complicated (structuraly) the piece is.

I think that your est is not far off; if at all. I use a shop close to where I work/live (near the DC metro area) Your prices are what I would expect maybe slightly on the high end though.

My shop is familiar with the P-car fan and tapes the fan blade edges to prevent build up. This takes time.

Accurate Powder Coating in San Carlos is doing my front suspension pieces - cross brace, a-arms, strut housings, misc other bits for $115. A co-worker recommended them.
