Sealant type question

I am curious to know if any of you have usedPermatex Anaerobic Sealant in lou of the recommended Loctite 574. Its the only Anaerobic sealant I can get my hands on before the wknd.
My question is essentally .. Is the Loctite 574 an Anaerobic sealant and Are all Anaerobic sealants basically the same?

Any Problems seen w/ this "ermatex Anaerobic Gasket Maker"

http://www.neverseezproducts.com/gasketmake.htm - Shown near bottom of page with small write up.

Thanks for ALL the Help!!!!

I've used the Permatex anaerobic sealant with good results. Seems to work very well. Not all sealants are the same but the permatex is designed for this type of application. I find it easy to work with because it's thicker than the Locktite 574. Just use a small bead of it around where you want to seal.

Permatex 518xx (aka Loctite 518) is a little thick but I know it works OK for cam towers. I know a Porsche shop that uses it for case halves as well. Apply it as thin as you can (that goes for any sealants on a 911 motor).
